Tribute to Rodney Dangerfield
Wins the 2004 IGCITA (International Guild
of
Celebrity Impersonators and Tribute
Artists) Cloney Award for Best Comedic
Impersonator.
In many cases a performer will try his or her
best to imitate a celebrity .
. . not him. He not only looks like Rodney
Dangerfield, he walks like him, has the same
mannerisms and even sounds like Rodney. His
style is natural, nothing is phony or forced . . .
he is Dangerfields clone!
He mixes his own material with many of
Dangerfield's famous bits. "Some people
were born with silver spoons in their mouths,
not me, I was born with a s
ilver foot in mine,"(Rodney) says as he adjusts
his tie.
His natural looks combined with his talent and
professionalism have taken
him all over the country. He has played at clubs,
colleges and corporate
events
.
He has been the grand prize winner in every
look alike event he has entered.
He once netted a trip to Hollywood by beating
out over 60 impressonists and
impersonators.
In many towns, cities and states as well as the
Pennsylvania,
New York and California Department of
Corrections many people only
know him as Rodney.Even though he says he
gets no respect, the minute
he walks on stage he gains the love and
admiration of the audience
. "I guess I did get some respect," He says after
finishing a show,
" what a crowd . . what a crowd."
