One of the very best. He pours it all out on stage during his
performances
. He has excellent showmanship and knows how to excite the
crowd. He is a
professional singer, songwriter and musician who actually has a
stunning
resemblance to Elvis in both singing style and appearance.
People often say he
has that "natural charisma." and "the same mannerisms." He
started in the music
biz when he was sixteen with his first rock band where they
played school dances
and local parties. Since then, he has lead various rock bands and
several recording
projects consisting of original rock and gospel songs. He says
people frequently
made remarks about his likeness to Elvis and he would often
goof around with
the part, but never intended to make it a career. But one day he
agreed to act as
Elvis at a co-worker's birthday party. "Man, I never knew it
would cause such a
frenzy, they were all shook up! I took it one step further and
entered a big
Elvis contest and placed 3rd out of 20 guys. A talent agent
offered me work doing
Elvis and after a few months of consideration, I decided to go for
it. From there
it just took off and it's been a wild ride. I think I've found my
niche in the music
business. The fans are wonderful and God has blessed me with
an
awesome gift!
He has since won several regional Elvis contests including:
sle of Capri in Shreveport - Nov 2002
The Hard Rock Cafe Dallas - January 8, 2000.
He sounds so much like Elvis that people insist he's lipsynching
the songs,
but it's 100% natural! People say he has the body moves down to
a science.
He keeps his hair jet-black and sideburns real for an authentic
look.
Stares and heckles are a daily routine when he's out in public but
he says
it's all part of the job! "Most people like or love Elvis. Even those
who mock
it are entertaining themselves. It's really a fun business! Elvis
still has millions
of devoted fans, I'm thankful for the chance to keep it alive! " He
has a
collection of authentic jumpsuits and silk scarves which are
usually
stripped away during the act.
