This Comedy Troupe is the product of talent and vision. The troupe consists of accomplished performers from the large talent capital of New York City. This energetic and lively cast comes from a variety of backgrounds including the dramatic stage, film, tv, improv, stand-up, Shakespeare, opera and musical theatre. Combining this variety of talent results in an action packed chemistry on stage.

The show has served as a great source of quality interactive entertainment for professionals, students and tourists of all ages throughout the NYC and tri-state area. Our interactive comic variety show was a huge hit during it's 15-week workshop run at The Producer's Club's Shea Theatre in Times Square last spring. "Eight" has also performed professionally at College Campus Events(University of MD, College Misericordia), Comedy Clubs (NY Comedy Club. Boston Com Club), Cabaret Rooms (Danny's, Roses Turn) Night Clubs(The Knitting Factory, Fuzion on A, Club La Escueilita), Corporate Events(Fulton Business Association, TTI-NYC , South Coast Health Systems, Kraft Foods), theatres (Wings Theatre, The Producer's Club, Where Eagles Dare Theatre), private parties, elementary schools(Improv 4 KIDS), festivals and more. In addition, the troupe has performed 4 live world wide web casts at Pseudo (Pseudo.com) in SoHo and made their TV debut on MNN's "NY-Rocks". Upcoming shows include live performances at the East Village Film Festival and a full weekly run of our political satire variety show "Here Come the Elephants!" at the Where Eagles Dare Theatre.

The show has a variety of influences including classic theatrical and television comedy shows from the 20th century. Overall, it could be classified as a classic Vaudeville variety show with modern edge. With a flavor of short form interactive improvs, audience participation is key. Our energetic and talented cast puts on an exciting interactive show spoofing everything and anything in the media including ourselves as "ac-Tors". Specializing in physical comedy, we present a fun-packed show combining some of the best political/celebrity satire with full staged "Broadway Style" musical production numbers. From G.W. Bush doing pirouettes to the blond bombshell impersonating Michael Jackson, we never cease to push the limits. Our music incorporates songs from modern pop artists, showtunes, hip-hop, oldies and even rap. Unlike many improv-sketch forms, there is no real right or wrong on our stage. The result is a constant freedom of creative and refreshing positive energy breaking down the fourth wall and incorporating the relationship between the audience and performers. Or as we call it "Freedom to make an A$$ out of yourself!" which when it comes down to it --- it is NOT Shakespeare, but it's downright hysterical.
